On August 16, 2022 at the age of 86. Cherished mother of Ellen (Frank Vriezen), Jan, Alison (Bill Hountalas), Heather (Spencer VanWolferen), John, Jim, and Jody (Laura Baskott). Beloved grandmother of Rachael, Devin, Stacey, Zoe, Mikie, Russ, Olivia, Thomas, Austin S, Liam, Austin B, and Jacob. She loved her brother Don (Sharon), and ever in her heart were her late sister Kay (George Murrison), and her parents Gerry and Vi Roach. She loved her extended family of nieces, nephews, and friends. She loved the outdoors, especially her cottage near Kazuby, her books, and her artwork. She had many cats during her life and is survived by her beloved Clara. The family wish to extend a special thanks to the staff at Wentworth Lodge in Dundas for all their kindness and care. Friends will be received by the family on Sunday, August 21 from 1:00 to 4:00 at the Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas. All are welcome to come and remember Barbara together; if not fully vaccinated, a mask is required. A Celebration of Life will take place at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hope for Wildlife or to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
