There are few words to express the deep pain and sorrow of losing my beloved wife our wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, auntie and best friend. The family is very thankful that she was able to pass away peacefully in the loving arms of her husband of 63 years.
Rosalie was born in the Vernon Jubilee hospital 81 years ago to Carl and Hazel Stordahl and is predeceased by her parents and brothers Donald and James.
She married the love of her life, Gerald on her 18th birthday in Coeur d’Alene City, Idaho. She was a born nurturer, and her greatest gift was her loving heart and devotion to her family. To know her was to love her. She was always kind to those she met and made everyone feel special. Her passions included her flower garden, taking in the warm sunshine, outdoor activities with her family including swims in the river, Tai Chi and coffee with the girls. She had a love for travel and enjoyed holidays to California, Mexico, Hawaii, Las Vegas and family trips in the motorhome. She was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind so many wonderful memories.

Rosalie is survived by her husband, Gerald, her children; Carolyn (Don), Susan (Gerry), Jim (Dianna), Dale (Shannon), nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two sisters and loving nieces, nephews and extended family.
The time that she spent in our lives was memorable and full of joy. We want to honor her life with a casual gathering at the Enderby Seniors Complex on Saturday November 26, 2022, from 1 – 4pm, where all emotions are welcome and encouraged. Come with your favorite memories, pictures, or words to share.
Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family at www.MyAlternatives.ca.
