Robert Wilfred « Bill » Doucette…transitioned to his heavenly home on Thursday, November 24th, 2022 at the age of 91. Beloved husband of the late Carmel Teresa Doucette (née Mullins). Loving father to Michelle (Brien), Michael (Sally), Lisa (late Kevin) and Ava (Rob). Dear grandfather of Justin, Andrew (Natalie), Jasmine (Aaron), Maggie (Mike), Thomas and Jordon (Steph) & great grandfather of Roy, Jack and Liam. Bill was born in 1931 in Reserve Mines, Nova Scotia to Fred & Annie Doucette, the third child of eight. Cherished brother of Marg, Leonard, Theresa, Tony & Carl. Predeceased by his brother Frank and his sister Evelyn.
Bill was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Air Force, serving at CFB Trenton and a dedicated member of the Royal Canadian Legion – Branch 110, Trenton. Bill was a strong advocate for St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church and belonged to the Knights of Columbus. Bill loved to golf, curl and enjoyed coaching boys hockey. He loved music and played piano at the Officers’ Mess in Trenton. He always delighted the family when playing his harmonica.
Keeping with Robert’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 140 Dundas St. W. Trenton on Saturday, January 14th, 2022 at 11 AM. Reception to follow at WEAVER Life Centre – East, 29 Bay St. Trenton. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
