Roberto Melo Silva, 57, of Wasaga Beach, ON, Canada, passed away on August 26, 2022, after a grueling battle with brain cancer. Roberto was born on May 5th, 1965 to Humberto and Maria Silva in São Paulo. After moving from Brazil to Canada, he went to work as a limo driver and assisted in a car garage for several years into his adult life. In 1996, he met Violet Kostecka. They were together for 26 years, going on to have 1 child, Alexandra Kostecka-Silva. Roberto was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of Alexandra and Violet, and always tried his best to support them. Roberto was also a passionate car enthusiast and could often be found at classic car shows when he wasn’t at home watching car videos. Anyone who knew Roberto knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. Roberto was predeceased by his mother, Madalena Silva, and partner’s mother, Maria Kostecka. He is survived by his partner Violet Kostecka, daughter Alexandra Kostecka-Silva, Father Humberto Silva, Sister Tenci Leite, Brother in Law Joe Leite, Niece Melanie Leite, Nephew Edison Leite, and newest addition to the family; Great Nephew Enzo Leite. He will be deeply missed by his family and his memory will be forever in our hearts. Rest in peace as you join your mother Madalena Silva and mother-in-law Maria Kostecka, in heaven.
There will be a memorial mass at 4:00 pm, on September 3rd at Cristo Rei Catholic Church in Mississauga ON.
