Robert Herbert Walter Hinton
On Monday, September 5, 2022 Robert passed away peacefully at Alexander Place, Waterdown in his 97th year. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 39 years Florence (1989) and their son Blair (2000); his companion Pansy Stoker (2013). Father to Carol Andree (Lou) and Sheri Booth (Randy, predeceased). Grandfather of Rebecca, Thomas, Alan, Walter, Ally, Samantha and Katie; great-grandfather of Emma and Odin. Survived by his sister Winnie Spinks and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Herbert and Marjorie (nee Nelson); and his brothers Edward, Earl, George and his sister Mary Henderson.
Robert was long retired from National Steel Car where he worked as a press operator.
A Celebration of Robert’s Life will be held at the ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION, WATERDOWN BRANCH #551, 79 Hamilton St. N., Waterdown on Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 1-4 p.m. Donations to Diabetes Canada would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Cremation has taken place with private interment Burlington Memorial Gardens.
