Obituary
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our mom, Rita Mildred Froude on October 27th, 2022 at the age of 84 years.
She leaves to mourn: her children: Andrée (Paul) Willette, Shawn (Peggy) Froude, Carson (Jackie) Froude, and Lynn (Gary) LaSaga; her grandchildren: Christopher (Alison) Willette, Megan Willette, Ryan Froude, Chad (Cass) Froude, Joshua (Andrea) Froude, and Jeffrey (Stephanie) Froude; and great-grand-children: Poppy and Casper Willette and Kendyl, Caroline and Jacob Froude. Also leaving to mourn: her sister Marion (George) Penwell of Grand Bank; sister-in-law Eileen Pierce of Fortune; and brother-in-law Ross Drake of Marystown; as well as numerous extended relatives and friends.
Mom was predeceased by: her father Frank Cake; mother Minnie Pierce; stepfather Bill Pierce; brothers: Fred Cake and Clyde Pierce; and her sister Karen Drake.
We would like to thank Mom’s home support workers who took such great care of her over the last three years, especially Doreen, Delores and Alice. Your kindness and compassion towards mom will never be forgotten. Also, thanks to the Community Health staff, especially Lori, Karen, Angela and Rebecca, for your professionalism and for being there when our family needed you the most.
Following Mom’s wishes cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service at this time. Interment will take place in the summer of 2023.
As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Bay St. George Sick Children’s Foundation or the Salvation Army Church, Stephenville would be greatly appreciated.
