Passed peacefully away at his home in Southern Harbour on Thursday, December 8, 2022 Rick Best of Southern Harbour, age 56 years. Predeceased by his parents, Maurice and Margaret Best; baby sister, Rhonda; great nephew, Sam Clements; father in law, Captain Jerry Hanlon. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Teresa of 27 years. His son, Shane (Allison); granddaughter, Sophia; sisters, Joan (Bill)Hickey, Linda (Ralph)Ryan, Carolann (Shawn)Hickey; brothers, Leo (Cindy)Best, Rupert (Helen)Brinston, Gordon (Wendy)Brinston, his twin brother Randy (Pam)Best; mother in law, Hannah Hanlon (Charlie Lake); sister in law, Sherri Hanlon; bother in law, Jerry (Deanna)Hanlon; a large number of nieces and nephews, as well as a large number of family and friends. Resting at the Roman Catholic Church in Southern Harbour on Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 3-5 & 7-9 P.M., as well as Sunday, December 11, 2022 from 2-5 & 7-9 P.M. There will be a wake service on Sunday, December 11 at 7:00 P.M. Funeral service to take place on Monday, December 12, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. from the Roman Catholic Church in Southern Harbour. Interment will follow at a later date. His family would like to thank all their family and friends for the outpouring of support during Rick’s courageous battle.
