Reta Sullivan
1934-2022
Reta Mae Sullivan, 88, of Gladwyn,NB, passed away on Saturday, October
1, 2022 at the Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville, NB. Born in
Anfield, New Brunswick, she was the first born child of the late Jack
and Helen (Sisson) Bell.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Vincent James
Sullivan. She is survived by her two daughters: Teresa (Doug) Sussey
and Bonnie (Keith) Worrall; five sons: John (Doreen) Sullivan, Richard
Sullivan, Allan (Brenda) Sullivan, Dale (Penny) Sullivan, and Patrick
Sullivan. Her legacy will continue through her grandchildren and great
grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
She was a fiercely independent woman who very capably moved her home
and family to follow her husband in his military career. Together the
family saw the world and had fun doing so. When Reta and Vincent
finally retired to their “forever home” on the Tobique
they took pleasure in the great outdoors. Mom loved to fish for trout
in the brooks, forage for fiddleheads and spend time at their camp
watching the deer. Nothing made her happier than being at home with
family and her precious fur baby, Amy. She was an amazing homemaker,
gardener, and incredible cook, so much so that every meal was an
occasion!
By request, there will be no visitation. A private graveside service
will be held for immediate family members only. Interment will be at
St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church cemetery in Perth-Andover, New
Brunswick on Wednesday, October 5th, 2022 at 2 p.m. Father Curtis will
officiate.
In memory of Reta, a contribution to the Victoria County SPCA in
Arthurette or to the Victoria Glen Manor Foundation in Perth-Andover
would be appreciated.
Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Brunswick Funeral
Home in Perth-Andover, New Brunswick.
“Say not in grief she is no more, but live in thankfulness that
she was.”
