Ralph’s Obituary
On December 13th, 2022 our hearts were broken and our lives were forever changed as our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather; Ralph Gerald Osmond passed peacefully away surrounded by family that loved him dearly at his place of residence in Cape Ray, in his 83rd year.
Born in Cape Ray, on April 10th, 1939, Ralph was the son of the late Walter and Elizabeth (Chant) Osmond. Ralph was also predeceased by his wife; Susie Osmond, grandson; Richard Osmond brothers; Absalom (Susan) Osmond, Raymond Osmond, Edgar Osmond, John Osmond, sisters; Lillian (Thomas) Osmond, Margaret (George) Jeans, father and mother in-law; Walter and Olive Warren (nee Short), brothers in law; George Warren, Phillip Warren, Jim (Gladys) Warren, Walter Warren, George Allen, sisters in-law; Mildred (Chesley) Short, Vera (Albert) Osmond, and Gertie McIssac.
He leaves to mourn his children; Glen (Elanie) Osmond, Dwain (Cathy) Osmond, Walter (Christa) Osmond, Shelia (Junior) Short, Elizabeth (Mike) Lomond, Janet (Fabian) Organ, Bonnie (Terry) Osmond, grandchildren; Derick, Chad (Jillian), Ryan (Megan), Tyler, Allyn (Brad), Travis, Lucas, Jason, Cameron, Alex, Dylan and Courtney, great- grandchildren; Andrew, Tucker, Hunter, Sofia, Emily, and Madi.
He also leaves behind his sisters; Joyce (Harold) Jeans, Ethel Allen, sisters in law; Joan Osmond, Marion Osmond, Elsie Osmond, Florence Osmond, Elizabeth (Betty) Osmond, Linda Warren, Patsy Warren, brother in-law; James McIssac, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family members, step siblings and friends. The family would like to thanks his home care workers Santana and Chantelle Pike whom he loved very much.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 7-9 pm at East Haven Funeral Home, 57 Grand Bay Road, Port aux Basques, NL and on Thursday December 15th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at St. John Evangelist Church, Cape Ray, NL. The funeral will be held on Friday, December 16th, at 11 am from St. John the Evangelist Church, Cape Ray, NL, officiated by Rev. Faye Coffin with interment to follow at St. John the Evangelist Cemetery. Donations in Ralph’s memory can be made to the family.
