Obituary
Passed away at home peacefully on Wednesday March 9, 2022, at 80 years of age.
He was the son of the late James and Christine (née Lariviere) Beaucage (predeceased). Peter was also predeceased by his brothers Philip and Wilfred and sisters Madeline, Kathleen, Angelique, Susan, Florence and Theresa. He is survived by his sisters Mary-Anne (George) and Linda (Jerry- predeceased) both of Nipissing First Nation and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly, especially Sue Commanda who helped him out so much.
Peter built a life with Terry Kivimaki who predeceased him in 1999. He enjoyed spending time with Terry’s children Kelvin and Janice and their families. He especially enjoyed watching Kyle and Travis play hockey.
He spent his career working for the MTO (Ministry of Transportation) as a surveyor. He started his career there in his late teens and retired in his 50’s.
Peter was a dedicated member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 23 and represented his father and our family at Remembrance Day ceremonies at Nipissing First Nation.
Peter always enjoyed family gatherings and we were all drawn to him as he told stories around a campfire.
As per Peter’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a ceremony celebrating his life will be held at a later date.
If desired, donations to Diabetes Canada and The Humane Society are greatly appreciated.
