Maitland– At Afton Park Place, Sarnia on Sunday June 5, 2022. Penelope “Penny” Maitland, age 83 years formerly of Corunna. Loving wife of the late Jim Maitland (2010). Dear mother of Barry Maitland (Heather) of Sarnia. Treasured grandmother of Keegan. Fondly remembered by Annie. Penny was predeceased by her daughter Kim (2012). She will be remembered in Corunna for having operated Penny’s Diner for a number of years in the 1990’s. She spent many years in child care and worked at several girls homes over the years in Sarnia and Brantford. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Afton Park Place for the care and compassion shown to Penny during her time there. In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the charity of ones choice.
