Obituary
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Patricia Marie (Melanson) Russell which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Thursday, December 22nd, 2022. Born 1940, in Sus, NB, she is the daughter of the late Joseph Camille and Bertha (Sonier) Melanson. Patricia worked at Exhibition Park Raceway for many years and she also did house keeping for Father Stack and Father O’Leary. She enjoyed listening to music, gardening, knitting and crocheting. She loved watching crime shows, swimming, figure skating and feeding stray cats, especially Popeye and Hungryman.
Patricia is survived by her sons Stephen Wayne Russell, Randall Carl Russell and Joseph Curtis Russell (Wanda) all of Saint John; grandchildren Wayne, Phillip and Craig; great grandson Jackson; as well as nieces, nephews and friends. Along with her parents, Patricia was predeceased by her sister Camilla.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). As per Patricia’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
Donations in memory of Patricia may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, SPCA-Animal Rescue or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
