Norman’s Obituary
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Norman (Norm) Alfred Short announce his passing at his home in Cape Ray, NL on Thursday, December 15th 2022 at the age of 59 years. Born in Cape Ray, Norm was the son of the late Cecil and Annie Short (nee Wall). He was also predeceased by his brother Morgan Short and sister Sylvia Short.
He leaves to mourn his wife of 39 years; Lorraine Short, his sons; Travis Pike and Brandon Short, grandchildren; Cameron Pike, Isabella Pike, Zoey Pike, Ayden Pike, Emilia Pike, Peyton Keeping and Ryleigh Young, siblings; Phyllis (Gordon) Lillington, Rev. Cannon, Vernon (Maisie) Short, Herman (Kathleen) Short, Trudy (Alfred) Leriche, brothers in-law; Tim (Elaine) Pike, Thomas (Catherine) Pike, Ellen (David) Bernard, Patsy (Dubsy) Hardy, special aunt; Judy Osmond, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. Special thank you to Bonnie Janes and Ray Patey.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 16th 7-9 pm at St. John the Evangelist Church, Cape Ray, NL. The funeral will be held on Saturday, December 17th, at 2 pm from St. John the Evangelist Church, Cape Ray, NL, officiated by Rev. Faye Coffin and Rev. Cannon Vernon Short, with interment to follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Brook TCH NL. Donations in Norm’s memory can be made to the family.
