Obituary of Nina Beyea
It is with great sadness that the family of Nina J. Beyea (Clark) announce her death, which occurred on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, in Hampton, New Brunswick. Born in Saint John, NB on February 27, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Donald Clark and Thelma (Tower) Clark.
Nina graduated from Saint John Vocational High School, where she studied Home Economics. She worked in the café at the Admiral Beatty Hotel, and it was there that she met William, her devoted husband of 47 years. She loved going to the movies and listening to music and had a large record collection of her own. Her favourite artist was Johnny Cash, whom she met and got his autograph. Nina also loved spending time at her family’s cottage in Erb’s Cove. She loved to bake and always had treats ready when company came. She also enjoyed reading and stitching embroidery.
Nina is survived by her loving husband, William Beyea; children: Liza McGovern (Shane) of Grand Bay-Westfield, NB, and Paul Beyea (Katie) of Hampton, NB; grandchildren: Brooke, Lucas, and Rhylee; lifelong friends: Faye King and Marilyn “Sis” McNichol; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Nina was predeceased by her son, baby William.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Feb 3, 2022 from 4 – 7PM from the Lighthouse River Centre, Hampton, NB. A private celebration of life will be held.
Donations in memory of Nina may be made to the Nauwigewauk Christian Church or to the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences to the family and donations may be made through ReidsFH.com
