Myrilda’s Obituary
Myrilda Janet Kelly of Woodstock, NB, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at her home on January 19, 2022, at the age of 98.
Myrilda was a loving and caring mother, and grandmother to her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Her hugs, smiles, and playful grin will be fondly remembered by all who love her. She was a beautiful lady, loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Myrilda was a devoted stay-at-home mom until her eight children had all started school after which she enjoyed working on the cleaning staff at the Cosy Cabins Motel. It was the perfect job, as she would say, it allowed her to be at home when her children arrived home from school.
Myrilda was the daughter of the late Thomas Stewart McKinley and the late Margaret Gladys McKinley (Lowery). She is survived by her sons Ken Kelly (Monika), Lakeside, Ontario; Art Kelly (Sheila), Aroostook, NB; Tom Kelly (Eleanor), Perth Andover, NB; Charles Kelly (Pat), Woodstock, NB; and daughters Margaret Fredericks (George), Fredericton, NB; and Janet Grant (James), Bedell, NB, and son-in-law Stuart Knox, Green Hill Lake, NB. Myrilda is also survived by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, and nieces and nephews.
Myrilda was predeceased by her husband C. Glendon Kelly; two daughters Brenda Knox and Beverley Page; son-In-law Frankie Page; brothers Cecil McKinley, Thomas McKinley, and James McKinley; and sister Muriel Pond.
Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, NB
There will be no visitation at this time.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 11 am from St. Lukes Anglican Church, Woodstock, NB
Rev. Shirley Noseworthy will be officiating, with interment to follow at Christ Church Cemetery.
The family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Homemakers and Extramural Nurses for their support and compassionate care with special thanks to Cathy Connors and Rowena Smith.
Desired donations may be made to the Upper River Valley Cancer Support Group, the St. Luke’s Anglican Parish Church Cemetery Fund of Woodstock, or a charity of the donor’s choosing.
