Michael passed away peacefully in hospital. He is survived by Joanne, his wife of 55 years, daughters Sharon and Heather, sister Margaret and cherished relatives.
Michael was a Certified General Accountant for 50 years with offices in Port Moody, Burnaby and New Westminster. In later years, he enjoyed working as a courier, driving around the Lower Mainland in his van listening to the CBC radio.
Michael (Mike to many) was kind, loving and curious. He liked to tell stories, share jokes and do puzzles on his iPad. His lifetime hobbies included stamp collecting, genealogy, photography, stargazing, woodworking, winemaking, computers and single malt whiskey.
In the last 5 years, Michael was cared for many times by the dedicated nurses and doctors at Royal Columbian Hospital.
