Maynard Victor Guptill
1937-2022
Mr. Maynard Guptill of Grand Harbour,
Grand Manan, NB passed away peacefully at the Grand Manan Hospital
with his family at his side.
Maynard was the son of the late
Douglas and Myrtle Guptill.
Maynard’s working life
spanned the lobster and herring fishery, business ventures as a
Manager of the UMF Retail Outlet, JP Forgy Fishing Supplies, Lindsay
Water Softeners, MV Guptill & Son Car Sales, Distributor for
Maritime Beverages Ltd and lastly as Pound Manager for DB Kenny
Fisheries Ltd.
Throughout the years, Maynard enjoyed
travelling with family and friends, time at Millers Pond, hunting and
fishing and all the ups and downs of a loyal Blue Jays
fan.
Maynard is survived by his sister
Janet (Warren Neal) of Florida, daughters Jonelle (James Hepditch) of
North Head and Deborah (Ward Fleet) of Halifax NS, seven
grandchildren; Morgan, Alicia, Adrienne, Laci, Judson (Jennifer
Green), Paige (Richard Drake) and Janice, four great grandchildren;
Nevaeh, Hope, Serenity and Harmony; also nieces, nephews and extended
family.
Maynard is predeceased by his
parents, his wife Alice (Green) of 60 years, son Scott (Deborah
Griffin), brother Judson (Carole Monroe) and sister Joanne (Blair
Robinson).
There will be a visitation on
Saturday, 24 September from 2-4 pm at the Community Life Church, Grand
Harbour. Following the visiting an interment service will be
held by the family at the Maple Grove Cemetery, there will be a
reception at the home of Jonelle and Jimmy Hepditch.
A special Thank You to the staff of
the Grand Manan Nursing Home, the Grand Manan Hospital and the
Emergency Health Services for their care and assistance to the family
over these recent weeks.

memory can be made to the Grand Manan Nursing Home and/or the Grand
Manan Hospital.
