Mary Remizoff
July 5, 1946 – July 8, 2022
Mary A Remizoff passed away peacefully on July 8, 2022 after a long struggle with cancer. She is predeceased by her father Alec Remizoff, her mother, Pauline and her brother Archie. She is survived by her brother Dan Golobic, his wife Karma Golobic, nephew Michael Golobic (and wife Janelle) and niece Hawley Olsen (and husband Ryan).
She was an X-ray technician at St. John’s, Antigua in the West Indies and Vernon B.C for several years. At the University of Calgary, she evaluated education programs. Later she worked as a medical social worker for BC Health Services at Oliver, BC.
Mary volunteered for a variety of community interests such as the Osoyoos Museum and Census Canada stats collection. Mary loved travelling abroad: the Caribbean, back packing all over Europe, South America and the Orient. Her interests included camping and hiking in Canada and the Western states of the USA, crossword puzzles and watching movies. She loved gardening and tending to her several fruit trees, grape vines and huge walnut tree. Her yard’s many rose bushes and other flowers and plants were her pride and joy. Mary was also good at using her garden’s produce by making meals for visiting family and friends. Also, Mary was nothing if not a book worm.
There are a lot of reason’s why we are going to miss her: she had a unique capacity for listening well and then reaching out with charity and sage advice. Altogether beautiful, that spice sense of amusement adorned her capacious intellect and generous heart. Condolences and tributes may be left for the family by visiting www.nunes-pottinger.com
