Obituary
Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home on Thursday, April 15, 2022 at the age of 92. Marg was the daughter of Samuel and Blanche Royal of Jobs Cove, Conception Bay. She is predeceased by her husband Joseph Wylie King (1998); sons: William (2012); Allister (2020); grandson Jason Froude; siblings: Irene, Sadie, Vonnie, Loretta, Brendan and Maurice.
She leaves to celebrate her life and mourn her passing her sons: Edison (Helen), David, Douglas (Sharon) and daughter Peggy (Carl Froude). Marg was the proud grandmother of Jeremy King (Sherri) Alberta; Sherry Lynn Flynn (Frank); Grant King (Amy); Phonse King (Deanna); Keith King (April); Heather Hanlon (Steve); Shara King (Dave Mullett); Gina King; Steven Froude. She was very proud of her grandchildren and her 17 great grandchildren. She will be missed by her sister Catherine (Mike Power) Caplin Cove; daughters in law: Jocelyn and Joan; brother in law Ralph King (BC) and granddaughter in law Karen Froude. She was also loved by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends especially those of Waterford Heights, Duntara Cres and Hillcrest Estates.
The family extends appreciation to staff of 3North of St. Patrick’s Mercy Home for the care provided to our mother during the past two years especially during Covid lockdowns.
The family will be receiving visitors at Barretts Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Ave., Mount Pearl on Saturday, April 16, 2022 from 7:00 -9:00 pm and Sunday, April 17, 2022 from 2:00 -4:00 and 7:00 -9:00 pm. Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 18, 2022 TIME TO BE ANNOUNCED from Gower Street United Church. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. The King family is kindly requesting that masks be worn to attend the visitation and the funeral service also, please maintain social distance.
As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to charity of one’s choice in Mary’s memory.
