It is with much sadness the family of Mary MacDonald (nee Boyle) announce her passing which occurred peacefully and in her sleep at the Colville Manor, Souris on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. She was aged 95 years of Souris and formerly Barachois, Gaspé. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Clinton and will be forever loved by her children Sharon Thompson (Brad), Gary MacDonald (Karen), Tim MacDonald (Shani) and Melissa Bronaugh (Tom). Mary will be lovingly remembered as a caring and compassionate gramma to Jack, Tamara, Tyler, Dylan, Eric, Savannah, Bella and great gramma to Leyton and Leah.
In addition, she is survived by her sisters-in-law Doris and Elizabeth Boyle of Hamilton, Ontario along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended members of the Clinton MacDonald family. Predeceased by her parents James and Marie Helene Boyle, siblings Abigail, James, Eva (Mike), Eugene (Daisy), Joseph, Winnifred (Vince), Olive (Leo), Larry and infant sister Stella.
The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care given to Mary by Dr. Berrow and Dr. Malone during her time at the manor. The family-like compassion shown to her by all the Colville Manor staff will be forever remembered.
A funeral mass will take place at the St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Souris with interment to take place at a later date. Due to public health restrictions, the service of remembrance will be by invitation only. If so desired, donations in memory of Mary can be made to the Eastern Kings Health Foundation (Colville Manor) and would be greatly appreciated by the family.
