Martial Poirier
1935-2022
Sunday, January 16th, 2022, at his
residence, at the age of 86 and 11 months, passed away Mr. Martial
Poirier of Restigouche-Sud-Est, husband of Mrs. Odile (born Gallant)
Poirier. He was the son of the late Mélanie (born Martin)
and the late Wilbrod Poirier.
Besides his wife Odile, he will be
sadly missed by his children: Mario (Renée Cormier) of
Pointe-à-la-Croix, Rosanne (Yvan Dufour) of Atholville,
Pauline (Yvanho Gallant) of St-François d’Assise,
Chantal (Régis Chabot) of Matapédia and
Gérald (Cindy Leblanc) of Pointe-à-la-Croix; his
grandchildren: Martin, Patrick, Steeven, Kristina, Kathleen, Stacy,
Sarah, Alyssa and Romy; his great grandchildren : Mathilda,
Loïc, Jake and baby to come; his sister and his
brothers : Liliane (Robert Brouillard) of Laval, Emilien of
Pointe-à-la-Croix and Jean (Aurélie Gallant) of
Rougemont also by many members of the Gallant family,
nieces, nephews, and friends
He was predeceased by parents; his
brother and sisters: Armand, Jacqueline, Cécile, Yolande,
and Lucille.
Funeral mass will be held in the
Ste-Hélène Church, Pointe-à-la-Croix,
on Saturday, June 18th at 10:30 am. Respecting
Mr. Martial Poirier’s wishes, there will be no visitation at
the funeral home. A donation to the Canadian Cancer Society would be
greatly appreciated by the family.
