Marilyn’s Obituary
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the Late Marilyn Gertie Purchase announce her sudden passing on October 7th, 2022 at the age of 66 years. Born in Lapoile, NL, Marilyn was the daughter of the late Henry and Evelyn Organ (nee Taylor). She was predeceased by her husband; Maxwell and children; Murray and Trina.
She leaves to mourn with loving memories her daughter/sister; Tina (Gilbert) Francis, siblings; Roland (Debbie) Organ, Pearl (Bruce) Hounsell, Mae (Goward) Francis, Edgar (Sharon) Organ, Ruby (John) Hargreaves, Roger Organ, Thelma (Paul) Hardy, Selena (Peter) Francis, Monford (Yvonne) Organ, Jeanette (Shawn) Sloot, Sherman (Yvonne) Organ, as well as companion Patrick Miller, many nieces and nephews and a large circle of family and friends.
Marilyn was a dedicated wife and a mother figure to her youngest sibling. Her greatest joys were her granddaughters; Kaitlyn, Brittney and her boy Curtis. Family was everything to her and many of her aunts were her best friends. Marilyn was the most kind, compassionate person who was loved by all who knew her.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 13th from 6:30 pm. to 8:00 pm. and Friday, October 14th from 9:00 am. to 11:00 am. at St. Thomas Anglican Church in Lapoile, NL, from where the funeral service will be held on Friday, October 14th, at 2:00 pm. officiated by Rev. Diana Frye. Interment following at the Church cemetery.
