It is with the greatest sadness we announce BAKOS, Maria, of Cambridge, Ontario passed away on September 5th 2022 at the age of 68.
Maria was born in Vajdasag, Serbia to parents Ilona Balog and Janos Barta on May 22nd 1954. Maria and her husband, Lajos Bakos were married for 51 years. Maria enjoyed her career as a seamstress for over 50 years and made many beautiful dresses. She also enjoyed working part- time at the Cambridge Walmart Pharmacy.
Maria is survived by her husband, Lajos Bakos, her daughter Ottilia, son-in-law Steve, her son Lajos, daughter-in-law Csilla, and her five grandchildren, Valentina, Felicia, Adrian, Andrea, and Kristian.
Maria was predeceased by her father Janos, her mother Ilona and her brothers Janos and Jozsef.
Visitation will be held at 12pm Saturday, September 10th, 2022 with a memorial service to follow at 1pm, at Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Blvd., Cambridge.
Flowers can be sent to Lounsbury Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be given to Lisaard House, Cambridge Ontario. The family of Maria Bakos wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Lisaard House for their excellent care.
