Emrich, Margaret (nee Wagner)
With heavy hearts we say good-bye to a very special lady. Margaret died peacefully at Grand River Hospital. Her life journey began September 21, 1923 and ended on September 15, 2022. She leaves behind her daughters Susan Reidl (Albert) and Joy Morrison (Jim). Loved by grandchildren Kirsten Gurnhill (Daniel), Tanya Ledford (Peter), Julie Reidl, Leanne Reidl (Curtis), Janelle Morrison and Michael Morrison (Leslie). She cherished her great-grandchildren Emily, Kaden, Jake, Erin. Nolan, Nylah, Brielle, Aryia, Monais and Zoran. Missed by her brother Carl Wagner (Nina) and brother-in-law Tony May. Predeceased by her husband Michael (1973), parents Theodore and Mabel Wagner, daughter Christine (2020) and sisters Helen May and Dorothy Stewart (Lloyd).
Margaret was born in North Easthope Township and farmed there with Mike. They moved to Kitchener in 1971 and in 2015 she moved to the care of St. Jacobs Retirement Home. She was devoted to her family and her church, leading an exemplary life of kindness, generosity and humility.
Margaret’s family will receive relatives and friends from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 and from 9:30-10:15 a.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St. Kitchener, (519) 749-8467. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Ed Bastian officiating. Reception to follow. Private interment at St. James Lutheran Church Cemetery – North Easthope. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Trillium Lutheran Church – Waterloo would be appreciated (cards available at the funeral home).
