Lynne Ann (Cherry) Huether, 75, of Belleville, Ontario, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on October 9, 2022. She was born to late parents Edward Lorne Cherry and Waivle Cherry, on September 22, 1947 in Toronto, Ontario.
Following high school, Lynne studied Bookkeeping and Office Management. She worked as a Bookkeeper during her career and also started her own Bookkeeping business.
Lynne’s true passion in life was quilting. Lynne was honored with many awards and accolades for the intricate quilts she made. She belonged to many Quilters Guilds throughout Ontario and in her spare time, loved to teach others the world of quilting. In conjunction with the Durham Region Quilters Guild, she also created cuddle quilts and stuffed animals for first responders to hand out to children during an emergency situation.
Lynne met the love of her life, Paul Frances Huether in 1981. They were married on November 14th, 1987 in Markham, Ontario. Together they enjoyed travel and time spent with friends and family.
Lynne is survived by her only son Steven (Stephanie) MacKinnon, grandchildren Violet and Gavin and her cousin Glen (Priscilla) Faulkner and their children Brian, Alison and Sarah.
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul, her Mom and Dad, and her sister June Hawkins.
The family has arranged a Celebration of Life for November 12, 2022 from 1 pm to 5 pm at 3 Briar Hill Gate, Courtice, Ontario.
