Obituary for
Louise Mildred Murphy
Suddenly on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, after a lengthy battle with cancer, Louise Mildred “Mary” Murphy, 62, of Edmonton, was called to dance with the Angels.
Beloved wife of Dennis Jones; loving mother of Christopher (Jonalynn) and Cameron; dear grandmother, “Lolly” of MJ; and “Moma” of Charlotte Louise and John Elias; cherished sister of Joanne (John), Richard (Charlene) and Rhonda. She will be fondly remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins, three nephews, a niece and all her dear friends. Louise is predeceased by her parents, Gerald and Carmelle Lafreniere.
“To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.” – Thomas Campbell
It would be wrong to say that Louise lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. Through her, we know what true resilience and determination look like. When anyone else would have broken, Louise stayed strong. She may no longer be here, but that does not mean she lost her fight.
Louise lived her life with zeal, always giving so much of herself, providing love, friendship, comfort and solace while asking little in return. Her husband, Dennis adored her and together they taught their sons integrity, loyalty and compassion, instilling them with the confidence needed to pursue life with passion.
Louise’s garden was her perfect piece of paradise, she loved to be surrounded by its beauty, second only to hers. She felt so much contentment and joy from her labour of love.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., at Park Memorial, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton, with reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to SCARS (Second Chance Animal Rescue Society), Box 3045, Athabasca, AB T9S 2B9.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Louise Mildred
