Obituary For Louise Melvina Dibb
With heavy sorrow, the family of Louise Dibb wishes to announce her passing, after a long hard-fought battle waiting for a lung transplant. She passed peacefully with her husband by her side in Camrose, Alberta.
Family was everything to Louise, being raised in a blended family of 10 siblings, she learned to be feisty but had a heart of gold. In 1967 she met the love of her life, the man she would be with for 55 years, Bryan Dibb. They were married in 1968 and welcomed Wendi in 1969, and Gavin in 1978.
Louise worked at many careers while the kids were growing up. She completed her hairdressing license and started a mobile hair company, so she could work around school hours. Unfortunately, due to allergies she had to leave the industry. She then took a job at the Tags in smith where she worked her way up to manager, she moved to Grande Prairie to run the Tags on Resources Road, and then finally Tags on 100th. She then moved on to manage Towne Centre Laundry until it sold, and eventually retired from Wapiti Road Shell in 2014.
Louise is survived by her husband of 53 years Bryan, daughter Wendi (Richard) Lanthier, son Gavin Dibb as well as her beloved grandchildren Sara, Dalyn, Jazmin, and Tayt; Tayt & Jazmin’s mom Krystal; sister Fran (Mac) Boudreault; brothers Lloyd Amundson, Alvin (Arline) Wiegel, David (Joann) Wiegel, Roger Wiegel; brothers-in-Law Darrel McAusland and David Dibb; sisters-in-law Kay Amundson, Elinor Wiegel, and Eileen (Lonnie) Bankhead, as well as too numerous to count nieces and nephews (who all held a special place in her heart) and her long time best friend Janice Blades.
Waiting to welcome her into heaven are her daddy Alfred Amundson; mom and stepdad Mellie and Victor Wiegel; brothers Alvin and Howard Amundson, Barry Wiegel; sister Marj McAusland; mother-in-law Eva Dibb; sisters-in-law Mary Dibb and Linda Amundson; and brother-in-law Lewis Wiegel.
