Louis Joseph McCarthy, husband of Bernice (Jardine) McCarthy of Gray Rapids, passed away at his late residence on Saturday, December 24, 2022 at the age of 75.
Born in Nelson, NB, he was the son of Theresa (Matchett) McCarthy and the late Carl McCarthy. He was a retired Security Guard for REPAP, a former NB Tel Lineman, a member of the United Pentecostal Church, Gray Rapids and also an AA member for 41 years.
Besides his wife Bernice, he is survived by his daughter Terri Lee Donohue (Freddy Burns) of Cains River; his son, Adrian Archie Jardine of Bluffton Alberta; his sister Mary Lords Makepeace (Brian) of Calgary; his brothers, Frank McCarthy (Ora) of Nelson, Kevin McCarthy (Patricia) of Miramichi, David McCarthy (Melanie) of PEI and Pat McCarthy of Nelson; his grandchildren, Sierra, Olivia and Avery; his K-9 Companion Dodge Stanley McCarthy and his nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his paternal mother Margaret O’Hearn, his father Carl McCarthy and nephews Ronnie Makepeace and Jacob Sullivan.
Louis Joseph McCarthy is resting at the United Pentecostal Church with visitation on Wednesday from 4-6 & 7-9. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 2pm at United Pentecostal Church, Gray Rapids with Reverend Graham Russell officiating. Burial will follow in the United Pentecostal Cemetery, Gray Rapids.
In his memory, donations to United Pentecostal Church or NB Extra Mural would be appreciated by the family.
