Louis’ Obituary
COMEAU, Louis Joseph – Age 81 of The Meadows, Yarmouth, formerly of Meteghan, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2022 in The Meadows. Born in Meteghan River, he was the eldest son of the late Arcade and Chantale (Comeau) Comeau.
Louis studied in Bathurst, NB, and taught in École Jean Marie Gay, Saulnierville. Shortly after, Louis moved to Halifax and worked for several years in the post office. He then moved back to Clare and worked as Post Master General in the Meteghan Post Office until his retirement in 2006.
He spent the last 11 years at The Little Dolphin in Mavillette until recently moving to The Meadows in Yarmouth.
He is survived by brothers, Hector (Anne), Meteghan River; Earl, Saulnierville; sisters, Emilda (Robert) Deveau, Meteghan River; Anne-Marie (Melvin) Brunt, Halifax; Bernadette (Richard) Blinn, Saulnierville; 3 step-sisters; 1 step-brother; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brother, Desiré.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Meteghan Funeral Home. A public graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 15th, at 11 a.m., in Stella Maris Cemetery, Meteghan Centre; Hubert d’Entremont officiating.
