Shea, Lionel
« John » – 75, of Great Village passed away
peacefully on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at the Colchester East Hants
Health Centre. Born in Parrsboro, he was a son of the late
Hazel (Lewis) Field and stepson of Earl Field.
John was loved and
will be missed deeply by his family. He is survived by his wife,
Brenda; his five children, Delta; Patricia; John; Maxine;
and Jason; his five grandchildren, Cassidy; Quincey; Evan; Khadim; and
Aysen; sisters, Dorothey and Helen; brothers, Sonny and Keith; John;
also many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and extended family that
are all important but too many to list. He was predeceased by his
brother, Cecil Shea and niece, Melissa (Field) Snyder.
John had many occupations over the years but his longest
was as a fisherman. He grew up, lived and worked hard on the beaches
of the Bay of Fundy. He loved fishing, old cars, country music and
talking about the old days. He was Gramps to his grandchildren, a
loving title which extended passed them and into other family as well.
The family would like to extend a special
thank you to everyone for the calls and well wishes.
There will be no
service in respect of John’s wishes. Arrangements have been
entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young
