Obituary of LIBERTO MEDEIROS
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Liberto, beloved husband, father, and grandfather on September 1, 2022. Liberto is predeceased by his parents Manuel and Conceicao Medeiros, his two brothers Carlos and Alfred Medeiros, his in-laws Manuel and Maria Lourdes Teixeira. He leaves to mourn his wife Aida (shy of 50 years), his four children Wendy (Reagan), Debby, Bradley (James), Randy and his granddaughter Lunden, who was his pride and joy. She meant the world to him. He also leaves to mourn his sister Luiza (Gabriel), brother Victor (Fatima) in Portugal, and many sister and brother in-laws, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Liberto was born in Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel, Acores. There he would meet and marry the love of his life, Aida on November 25, 1972. Shortly after, he immigrated to Canada. He cherished every opportunity to spend time with his family. He loved gatherings and family vacations. Liberto was a loving, kind, caring and thoughtful person. He was loved by all that knew him. Liberto had such a joyous laugher that will be greatly missed.
Dad, you were such a wonderful person, and we will never forget you. You will forever be in our hearts. We will always love you. May God bless you. Descanca em paz.
We would like to thank everyone at CancerCare. We thank the doctors, nurses, and health care providers at St. Boniface. A special thanks to the Palliative Care unit on the 8th floor for your compassion and excellent care. We greatly appreciate everything you did for him.
Prayers will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 4588 Roblin Boulevard at 8:00 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be on Wednesday, September 7 at 10:00am, also at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare.
