Lenora Pond
June 27, 1934 – December 26, 2022
It’s with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved mother on December 26, 2022 at The James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander; Lenora (Lynn) Pond age 88 originally from Trinity, BB. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Predeceased by her husband Zachaeus, mother Beatrice Hunter, father Israel Wiseman, brothers; Philip Wiseman and Eldred Wiseman, sisters-in-law; Ruby Wiseman, Audrey Wiseman, Twixie Wiseman and brother-in-law; Felix Rogers.
Lenora is survived by her son Uriah, daughters; Annie Poitras and Judy (Colin) Nichols; five grandchildren; John Peter(Heather), Katherine (Jeff), Justin (Ashleigh), Timothy (Lisa) and Jonathan (Mallory), great grandchildren; Alyssa, Caleigh, Sebastian, Zachery, Jake, and Max. Her brothers; Garfield Wiseman, Sitnah Wiseman, Chesley (Marie) Wiseman, Nelson Wiseman, and sisters; Frances Rogers, Rebecca (Percy) Rideout, Wilhelmina (Barry) Blackwood, and Cinderella (Murray) Cook, sisters-in-law; Louise Wiseman and Nancy Wiseman. Also, a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Lynn was known for her loving and gentle spirit. She had a great sense of humour, loved teasing and being teased especially by her grandchildren. Her home was always filled with family and friends. She loved her card games, bingo, fishing, berry picking, and knitting. Lynn will be missed by all who knew her.
Many thanks to the management, staff, and residents of The Nightingale Manor in Gander for making Lynn’s last few years comfortable and enjoyable. As well thank you to the medical staff at The James Paton Memorial Hospital who cared for during the last few weeks.
