Lee Jardine
1948-2022
It is with profound sadness that the family of Lee Jardine announce his passing on September 29, 2022, after a short sudden courageous battle with cancer. The family would like to thank the palliative care staff for their care and compassion.
Lee will be lovingly remembered by the love of his life his wife of 49 years Mary Ann, three beautiful children who he was incredibly proud of Tanya Jardine (Mike Stewart) of Quarryville, Stacy Northrup (Jeff) of Saint John and Steve Jardine (Jasmine) of Fort McMurray. He had six grandchildren who were the light of his life. Robyn, Emily, Stewart, Tyson and Jase Northrup and William and Walker Jardine, brothers, Terry (Linda) and Lindsay (Lori Ann) and sister Beth (Leroy) and lots of nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Lee was born on December 31, 1948, to parents Floyd and Ruth Jardine. He grew up in a loving home with two brothers and one sister. Lee being the oldest took the “Big Brother” role seriously.
Lee was known for his infectious laugh. He was an outdoorsman, loved his garden and tinkering around in his garage. Lee worked at CFB Chatham for 18 years. He was incredible operator and enjoyed it very much. He then switched careers to work at the prison as a store men. He retired in 2008 and enjoyed his retirement to the fullest from watching his granddaughter graduate high school, his other granddaughter gets her first car. Taking his grandsons for tractor and four-wheeler rides. He was the biggest fan at the rink while watching his other grandsons play hockey. These are memories to cherish forever.
As a son, husband, father, grandfather, and any other title Lee carried he was heroic to say the least. He was the glue that held his family together.
Visitation will be held at St. Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church on Sunday, October 2, 2022, from 2-4 and 7-9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church on Monday, October 3, 2022, at 11 AM with Father Paul Doucet officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
In Lee’s memory, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetic Association, or to a memorial of the donor’s choice.
