With broken hearts we share that on Thursday, December 22, 2022, Krista Lynn (Cochrane) Boyd, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully in her sleep, at home in Avonport, at the age of 66. Krista was born in Windsor, to the late George “Toot” and Margaret (Cochrane) Cochrane.
Krista attended Windsor Regional High School where she graduated from the secretarial program. Over the years she worked at Avon Datsun, Windsor Royal’s Lotto Booth, Valley Ford and Pothier Motors. At the time of her death, she was employed at All Outdoors Landscaping, in Chester, in Customer Service and where she also kept the boss in check.
She was known for her keen wit and sense of fun, perfected over the years through verbal duels with her three brothers. She had a great laugh and loved summers at the cottage on Mockingee Lake. Her warm heart was easily seen with not only Barry, Kathryn and Parker but with family and friends.
Krista is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Barry; daughter, Kathryn (Paul Young) and grandson, Parker, whom she adored. She is also survived by brothers, Dennis (Susan), Andy (Jill) and Doug (Michelle); sisters-in-law, Anne (Ron), Carolyn (Bill) and Florence (David); brothers-in-law, John (Debbie) and Jim; several nieces and nephews; stepmother-in-law, Mattie and fur-babies, Stella and Baxter.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by father and mother-in-law, Eric and Marg; brothers-in-law, Michael and Reg; as well as close family friend, Doug Parker.
The family is especially grateful to Carolyn and Bill, as well as the paramedics for all of their assistance provided.
Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). Cremation has taken place. Keeping with Krista’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral.
