Borden, Krista Marie – Age 49 of Elderbank, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 22, 2022 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.
Born in Truro, she was a daughter of David and Minnie (Jarvis) Whitenect.
Krista’s fun-loving personality drew her to make many friends. She was an amazing mother to her three boys, wonderful wife to her husband, loved her brothers and enjoyed her life every day. Many hours of fun and adventure were spent on her motorcycle. The faster she could go the more she enjoyed it. Each of her friends felt that she was their best friend. She had a love of animals, taking in many strays.
She will always be loved and missed by her husband, Gary; parents, Dave and Minnie; sons, Gage, Blake and Hunter VanWychen; siblings, Kevin (Kira), Dave (Laura), Dana (Jeanette); nieces and nephews, Dawson, Lyrica, D.J.; Delainie, Kaci, Bria; sister-in-law, Justine Borden and her children, Axel, Cadge, Behr; mother and father-in-law, Janet and John Borden.
She was predeceased by the father of her children, Paul VanWychen; niece, Caitlyn Yorke.
Funeral service will be Friday, December 2 at 2 p.m. in St. Andrews United Church, Elderbank with Rev. Allan Lynk officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
