It is with profound sadness that we announce Russell John Conrad Kelly has passed away peacefully at the Montreal General Hospital on November 15th, 2022, at the age of 89. Born in Kinkora, Prince Edward Island to Everett Kelly and Faustina McKiver. Predeceased by his brothers, Preston and Justin; sisters, Geraldine and Carey. Survived by brothers, Donald and Blair.
Russ was a devoted husband to his wife Doris of 43 years, a loving father to his children Michael (Mary Ricalis), Patricia (Gordon MacKay), Colleen (Scott Westaway), and Mark (Rui Bi), and a caring grandfather to his eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He will be missed by all, as well as numerous nephews and nieces, other relatives, and friends from his Vermont bicycle touring group, the TMR Curling Club, and golf buddies on PEI where he spent his summers in retirement. He was a long-time employee of the Canadian Marconi Company where he served as a manager of the Avionics Training Department.
A service will be held at Kane Fetterly on Saturday, November 26. 11 AM visitation, 12 PM service, 1 PM reception. Donations in memory of Russell may be made to the Montreal Gazette Christmas Fund.
