MARTIN, Kara Ann – Passed peacefully after living with Huntington’s with courage and grace. She is the loving daughter of Barbara Martin , and the late T. Wayne Martin. Beloved sister to Troy Martin, Tana Wright (Wayne) and Vicki Hornick. Kara was a loving Aunt to Kaed, Tieran, Noah, and Madysen. Kara’s love of life was evident in all she did. Her high school years at Centennial Secondary School were filled with sports, student council and Camp Quin- Mo- Lac during the summers. After graduating as an R.N. from Fanshawe College, she travelled the United States nursing. Pediatrics were her specialty and she worked in many PICUs in a number of children’s hospitals in many different states. There wasn’t an animal or child that Kara met, that she didn’t love. If desired, donations may be made to the Huntington’s Society of Canada or Camp Qui-Mo-Lac. The family will receive friends at St Paul’s United Church, Stirling on Monday, May 16th, 2022 from 10:00a.m. till 11:00a.m. Reverend Cheryl McMurray officiating. A Celebration of Kara’s Life will follow at 11:00a.m. Inurnment to follow at Stirling Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the STIRLING FUNERAL CHAPEL 87 James St., Stirling (613-395-2424).
