June Cruickshank
1931-2022
June Dorothy Winnifred (Alward) Cruickshank, 90 of
New Canaan, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2022 at the Dr. Georges
Dumont Hospital.
Born in Havelock, she was the daughter of the late
Murray and Rowena (Collier) Alward. She attended Full Gospel Assembly
in Killams Mills. June worked for several years at Newcomb’s
Restaurant and Stan’s Irving in Petitcodiac. She enjoyed preparing
meals, having family get togethers and going to social activities and
always willing to lend a helping hand around the community. Her
beloved home was always open to company.
June is survived and sadly missed by her children
Richard Harris (Donna), Eleanor Black (Stuart). Caroline Taylor
(Greg), Kathy Weir (Rick), Murray (Roxanne), Tony (Amy), David (Nancy)
and Todd; grandchildren Ken, Shoshana, Kelly, Kyle, Stacy, Gail,
Donnie, Tracy, Joshua, Shane, Brandi, Matthew Melanie, Misty Dawn,
Lindsey, Christopher, Katie, Brandon, Jordan, Jenna, Kayla, Kelsey,
Blake, Courtney, Ashley and Coleen; several great grandchildren and
great great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by
her husband John; brother Walter; daughters-in-law Betty and Sandra
and grandson Kevin.
The family will receive relatives and friends at
the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106 (372-4800) on Thursday,
August 11 from 6 to 8 pm. The funeral will be held in the chapel
Friday, August 12 at 2 pm with Pastor Jodi Holmes officiating,
assisted by Pastor Dave MacPherson. Interment to follow in New Canaan
cemetery.

to the New Canaan Cemetery or a charity of choice would be
appreciated by the family.
