Josephine’s Obituary
Passed from this life, peacefully in the comfort of her home on Saturday January 8, 2022. Josie was 87 years of age. She will be forever missed by her dear friend Sandra Wacikowski who became her caregiver in Josephine’s later years. Sandra recalls meeting Josie for the first time. You couldn’t help but fall in love with her. It was just how she was. Josie was always filled with positive energy and she was always there for whoever needed her. She was always willing to help.
Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints on your heart.” So many hats, so many titles and so many words to describe Josie: Teacher, Mentor, Soldier, Boss, Mental Health Professional, Animal Handler, Dog Breeder, Security Officer and Businessman. The most powerful word to remember her by is ‘Friend’. Josie lit up many people’s lives with her love, her peals of laughter and her generous spirit. She had a unique magnetism that drew any and all types to her. She found great joy and was passionate in whatever it was that she did.
Friends will be welcomed at the DWAYNE D. BUDGELL Funeral Home on Wednesday January 19, 2022 from 7 -8 p.m. The evening will end with a brief Memorial Service starting at 8:00 p.m. In accordance with Josie’s expressed wishes, cremation has already taken place. In Josie’s memory, donations to Meadowood Pentecostal Church would be appreciated by the family.
