Joseph Ouellet
1928-2022
SAINT-IGNACE, NB – Joseph Ouellet, 93, passed away
peacefully at the Villa Maria, Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Saturday, May
14th, 2022. Born in Saint-Ignace, he was the
son of the late Pierre Ouellet and the late Beatrice (Gallant)
Ouellet. Before retiring, Joseph worked as a carpenter. He loved
playing his harmonica. He had a extraordinary sense of humour, which
he used right up until his last minute.
Joseph leaves to mourn his nine children, , Louis-Emile
(Jocelyne), Roger (Monique), Normand (Nola), Geraldine, Onil
(Patricia), Nicole (Aldéo), Claude (Gabrielle), Claudette
(Gilles), Annette (Jean-Paul); his 17 grandchildren, Lyne, Rochelle,
Sylvie, Ghislain, Yves, Janie, Jean-François, Maryse,
Olivier, Kélissa, Jessica, Monyse, Janelle,
Marc-André, Rémi, Vanessa, Isabelle; his 10
great-grandchildren, Jacques, Mathieu, Mélodie,
Théo, Maxime, Noah, Nathan, Nolan, Magalie,
Delphis ; his brother, Francis (Rosella); his sister,
Éléonore (late Albert); as well as his special
friend, Albertine Melanson.
Joseph was predeceased by his loving wife, Mélina
(Comeau); his great-granddaughter, Renelle; three brothers,
Fidèle, Arthur, Edmond; and four sisters, Emma, Elda, S.
Délima, Alma and Rita.
The family would like to say a sincere thank you to the staff
at the Villa Maria for the compassionate care that they gave to
Joseph. Special thanks to Dr. Josette Vautour and the Head Nurse, Anne
Johnson.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Memorial
Home, Saint-Louis-de-Kent, on Wednesday from 1:00pm until departure
for the funeral. A funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, May
18th, 2022 at 4:00pm, Saint-Ignace-de-Loyola
Roman Catholic Church, Saint-Ignace.
The family recommends that masks be worn during the
visitation and funeral service.
