Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Complex on September 20, 2022, John Follett, formerly of Trepassey, in his 99th year, after a life well lived.
Predeceased by his wife Margaret, parents Francis and Margaret Follett, brothers George Follett (Genevieve), James Follett and Michael Follett (Hester), son-in-law Kevin Dalton, father and mother-in-law John and Bridget Molloy, sister-in-law Lena Sutton (Michael), sister-in-law May and niece Margaret Pennell.
He will be dearly missed by his children Terry (Anne), James, Charmaine (Chris) and Arlene. John also left six grandchildren whom he adored and loved: Jamie (Jessica), Adam (Kristie), Jonathon, Travis (Holly), Alicia (Zack) and Kyle and five precious great-grandchildren Avery, Jasper, Georgia, Jack and Aidan. He will also be sadly missed by his niece Cynthia Mills, great niece Bernetta Pennell and godchild, good friend and neighbour Muriel Finlay and husband Bill. Also left to mourn John’s passing are his many special friends and neighbours in his hometown of Trepassey and two special friends Sean Sullivan and Sheldon Thornhill.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Lacey and Shirley of TLC Home Care for the exceptional care they provided to dad.
Resting at Fahey’s Funeral Home, Trepassey. Visitation Friday 1 p.m. – 9 p.m., Saturday 1 p.m. – 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial Sunday at 11:30 a.m. from Holy Redeemer Church, Trepassey. Interment to follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
