Van Daele, John Brian (August 29, 1959 – November 28, 2022) –
Surrounded by his loving family at the University Hospital LHSC, London on Monday November 28, 2022, John Brian Van Daele passed peacefully at the age of 63. Lovingly remembered by his wife Dianne (Van Den Elsen) of 41 years and by his daughters Dion (Roni) Matthews and Leanne Van Daele. Super proud Papa to Grayson and Nolan Matthews who meant the world to him. Survived by his siblings Rene Van Daele, Leona (Larry) Dejaegher, Loraine (Walter) Homick, Jerry (Wendy) Van Daele and by his in-laws Ed (Margie) Van Den Elsen, Art (Marcia) Van Den Elsen, Rita Beckett and friend Brad Clarke. Also survived by his caring mother-in-law Marie Van Den Elsen of Port Dover as well as by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Remi and Lucienne (DeRudder) Van Daele and by his father-in-law Martin Van Den Elsen.
For many years, John and Dianne farmed tobacco and then he went on to driving dump truck, a position which he thoroughly enjoyed. John spent a lot of time snowmobiling and hunting with friends but what he loved most was spending time with his grandsons and family.

Friends, neighbours, and relatives are invited to attend public visitation on Thursday, December 1st, 2022, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes – Burial and Cremation Services Inc. Chapel, 40 Queen Street, Langton. A Public Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 2nd, at 11:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 24 Albert St., Langton, by Rev. Fr. Thomas Kuriacko. Interment follows in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
