Jeanne Bastarache
1922-2022
Jeanne Bastarache, 99, of Foyer Saint-Antoine and formerly of
Saint-Maurice, passed away peacefully at the Foyer Saint-Antoine on
Tuesday October 4, 2022. She was married to the late Francois
Bastarache (1983). Born in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, she was the daughter
of the late Frederick and the late Elise (Léger) LeBlanc.
She will be sadly missed by her two sons; Roger (late Lucille) of
Bouctouche and Rosario (Simonne) of Saint-Maurice, one
daughter-in-law; Pauline Bastarache on Bouctouche Cove, her seven
grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great great
grandchild. She also leaves to mourn her sister; Aline Cormier of
Bouctouche and one brother; Ulysse of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent as well as
several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by two sons; Paul-Emile (1949) and Raymond (2022),
her five sisters; Léa, Irène, Anna, Imelda, Cécile as
well as four brothers; Edgar, Eric, Normand and Emile.
Visitations will be held at the Sainte-Anne-de-Kent Roman Catholic
Church Slumber Room, on Friday October 7, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 2:45
pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Sainte-Anne-de-Kent Roman
Catholic Church on Friday October 7, 2022 at 3:00 pm with interment in
the parish cemetery.
In Jeanne’s memory, donations may be made to the
Sainte-Anne-de-Kent Parish.
