Jeanette’s Obituary
Jeanette was a long-time resident of Worsley (AB) and passed away in Fairview on December 6th, 2022, at 79 years of age. She was born August 6th, 1943, in Edmonton (AB).
Jeanette was a hairdresser, doing hair for many of the neighbors, family and friends in the Worsley area. After the nest was empty, Jeanette worked for a time cooking for rigs. There were a few of the rig hands that thought of her as a second ‘Mom’-and for others-a ‘Grandma’.
Jeanette loved her flowers and the greenhouses as well. She could often be seen sitting in her favorite chair looking out the window at the drill seed planter, with a book in her hand, and with “Little House on the Prairie” or “The Waltons” on TV.
Jeanette is predeceased by her mom Mary Turlock; her dad Alfonse Lockner; her brother Jim Lockner; and daughter-in-law Kim Richardson.
She is survived by her husband George Richardson; sister Gayle (Darryl); children Dale, Teresa (Ernie) Clarke, John (April Nicolet); grandchildren Rainy (Kareen) Lesley, Carrie( Kurt), Chris (Becky), Kevin (Bobbi), Brittany and Chase; and great-granchildren.
Funeral Services for the late Jeanette Richardson will be held on Wednesday the 14th of December, 2022 at 2:00 pm, from Eureka River Hall, with Pastor Dick Hale officiating.
Internment will be at a later date, at Worsley Cemetery.
Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of Memories Funeral Homes, Fairview.
