It is with great sadness the family of the late Jason Allan Lockyer of Brooks Alberta, formerly of Boat Harbour, announces his sudden passing on Monday, September 26th, 2022, at the age of 46.
Jason loved life, was easy going, would be the life of the party and always had a smile for you. That smile was even bigger when he was with the joy of his life, his son Caleb. Whether they were out to the lake, fishing, sitting by a fire or visiting Daphne and her family in Calgary, Jason was a devoted dad and spent any free time he had with Caleb. He loved bringing Caleb to Newfoundland and spending time with his parents, siblings, family and friends. Jason loved a great BBQ and a big juicy steak shared with family and friends. He cherished his family and they cherished him. This also holds true for his work family at Cruz Lite Trucking, he was so appreciative for how they supported him and he valued them so much.
Leaving behind with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his son, Caleb of Brooks, AB; parents, Theadore and Irene Lockyer of Boat Harbour; siblings, Morgan Lockyer (Peggy Pardy) of CBS, Ted Lockyer (Darlene) of Burin, Daphne Lake (Jerry) of Calgary; nieces and nephew, Emily, Andrew and Olivia; many aunts, uncles and cousins; plus a large circle of extended family and friends. Jason was predeceased by his grandparents, Charles and Norah Lockyer, and Morgan and Wanda Follett; aunt Gladys King; uncles, Earl Francis and Phillip Day; and cousin Corey Lockyer.
The Lockyer Family will be accepting visitors at Boat Harbour United Church on Thursday, October 6 from 10:00am to 10:00 pm and Friday, October 7, 2022 from 9:00am to 11:00am. A Celebration of Life for Jason will take place at Boat Harbour United Church on Friday, September 7, 2022 at 2:00pm. Interment to follow at Boat Harbour United Church Cemetery.
In Jason’s memory, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Lockyer Family.
