It is with great sorrow that we say goodbye to James Melburn Watson. Jim passed away quietly on November 17th, 2022 at Abbotsford General Hospital surrounded by his family. Jim was a friend and mentor to so many, he lived a life of leadership and giving, he was an educator and an unwavering supporter to all. As a volunteer, he was dedicated to his fellow Kinsmen, the Rick Hansen Foundation and so many other Not for Profit groups and touched us all with his inspiration, wisdom and humor.
His loving wife Margaret, his Son, Todd Watson, Daughter, Tara Hanson, his Granddaughters Megan & Kennady Watson, his Sisters, Cheryl Pottinger & Heather Hammond, Niece, Erin Hammond, and Nephews, Daryn Pottinger, Evan Hammond and Darrin Hayes, survive him.
We will all miss his timeless stories, his ability to make everyone feel equal and his famous quotes. The next drink you share with friends, raise one and say “nectar of the gods” for him.
Happy to meet, Sorry to part. Always in our hearts.
A celebration will be held for Jim in the new year.
