McMULLEN, James Percy –
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of James Percy McMullen (Jim) on Wednesday, June 15th, 2022 at his farm, in his 76th year. Jim was the cherished son of the late Malcolm and Kathleen McMullen (nee Brownson) and was born and raised in Stirling-Rawdon Ontario. Father of Robin (Brad) and Joshua (Jenn). Younger brother to Muriel Morgan (Gerald) and Shirley Carlisle (Ralph). Proud Grandpa of Bethany and Mason. Jim will be missed by his great friend Cathy, as well as many other friends. Jim grew up farming and later joined the Belleville Police Service. Jim had a lifelong love for horses. He was a committed member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shrine Club. He enjoyed tinkering and was always determined to fix what he could. Jim was there for you if you needed him. He will be forever missed.
Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the STIRLING FUNERAL CHAPEL, 87 James St. Stirling (613-395-2424). Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, June 24th, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Officers and Members of the Quinte Masonic Lodge #29 are asked to gather at the funeral home for a Lodge Service at 1:00 p.m. Funeral Service led by Rev. Cheryl McMurray will proceed immediately afterward. Jim will be laid to rest at the Stirling Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children are appreciated.
