Jacqueline Marie Damato
June 5, 1935 – July 24, 2022
With great sadness, the family of Jacqueline Marie Damato (nee de Lesseps) of Chatsworth, announce her passing at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound, on Sunday July 24, 2022, at age 87. Loving wife of 62 years to Charles Damato. Dear mother of Crista (Allen), Gerard, Michael, and Alina Damato. Doting grandmother of Jinji, and cherished aunt of Alicia Dino (Roel) and their children Noah, Lucca and Alessandra. Predeceased by her parents Francois and Aileen de Lesseps (nee Green) and sister-in-law Barbara Lorentz. Jacqueline will be remembered as an accomplished artist and poet. She received an Honours BA (English) from the University of Toronto, and furthered her education with a Diploma from the Ontario College of Art.
Cremation has taken place, and arrangements have been entrusted to the Garafraxa Hill Funeral Home, Chatsworth, Ontario. If desired, donations in Jacqueline’s memory to the Grey Sauble Conservation Foundation -Memorial Forest Program, would be appreciated by the family.
