RUTTER- Isobel Viola (nee Robinson) passed away at St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Friday, December 16, 2022 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Robert George “Bob” Rutter (2015). Isobel is survived by her loving children Murray (Beryl) Baker of Midland and Debbie Henning of St. Thomas; by her grandchildren Todd Baker (Katia) of Toronto, Jeff Baker (Keri) of Oro-Medonte and Brett Henning (Ashley) of St. Thomas; by her great grandchildren Ashley (Dylan) Stone, Dylan Baker (Megan), Willow, Tobin and Violet Baker, and Conor Henning; by her siblings Kathy (late Bud) Given of Pike Bay, Marion (late Ray) Massecar of St. Thomas, Leah Tucker of Mount Forest, and Brenda (Peter) Heyblom of Pike Bay; her siblings-in-law Donna Robinson (late Eldon) and Jim (late Joy) Rutter of Port Rowan. Predeceased by her parents Duncan and Christena Robinson, her first husband Albert Baker (1966), her brothers John and Ron, sister Madeline Moore, brother-in-law Elbern Tucker, and her grandson baby Derek Robert Henning (1981). Isobel was a Craftworker at the St. Thomas Psychiatric Hospital and Elgin Manor before retirement. A funeral service to celebrate Isobel’s life will held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 1:00 pm. Interment in Elmdale Memorial Park Cemetery. If desired, donations to the St. Thomas Elgin Food bank or Hospice of Elgin would be appreciated.
