The passing of Iris Enola Munn of Holtville, NB, wife of the late Everett Munn, occurred on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at the Central New Brunswick Nursing Home in Boiestown. Born on October 7, 1929 in Holtville, NB, she was the daughter of the late James and Muriel Munn. Iris worked as a gatekeeper for Rocky Brook Fishing Lodge. She was a member of Miramichi’s First Pentecostal Church, Holtville and attended Newcastle Bridge Bible College.
Iris is survived by her daughter, Patricia Mitchell (Lester) of Blackville; granddaughters, Jennifer Milliea (David) of Rexton, Judy Peter-Paul (Adam) of Bathurst, Joni Dunnett (Brad) of Miramichi; great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Ella and Jacob Peter-Paul, Reid and Jaxson Milliea, Wrenley Dunnett; sisters, Bertie Munn of Holtville, Nellie MacKay of Fredericton, Peggy Hawley (Aubrey) of Holtville, Maizie MacKay of Hayesville; brother, Leonard Munn (Marilyn) of Holtville; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her grandson, James; great-granddaughter, Nova; daughters, Sandra Munn (Arden), Judy Munn; sisters, Emma Lovelace (Carl), Sadie Norrad (James); brothers-in-law, Rex MacKay and Harding MacKay.
Visitation will take place at Miramichi First Pentecostal Church, 376 Holtville Rd, on Friday, December 30, 2022 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from Miramichi First Pentecostal Church on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at 2 pm with Rev. Landon Decker officiating. Interment will be in Cameron Hill Cemetery, Holtville at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Cameron Hill Cemetery.
